The Toledo Area Genealogical Society (formerly the Northwestern Ohio Genealogical Society) is a non-profit organization established for the purpose of encouraging research in genealogy, history and biography. We provide a friendly environment where people can gather to socialize and learn. TAGS cooperates with the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, in promotion of their Local History and Genealogy Department, and does joint projects with other local organizations.
Meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the second Monday of September through June. We meet at the United Church of Christ, 7240 Erie Street, Sylvania, OH, for 2017-18. Meetings will be canceled when there is a level 2 or level 3 snow emergency. Decisions will be made by NOON of the meeting day. Please check your email and phone messages before leaving for a winter meeting.
