The Toledo Area Genealogical Society (formerly the Northwestern Ohio Genealogical Society) is a non-profit organization established for the purpose of encouraging research in genealogy, history and biography. We provide a friendly environment where people can gather to socialize and learn. TAGS cooperates with the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, in promotion of their Local History and Genealogy Department, and does joint projects with other local organizations.
Meetings are held at 6:00 PM on the second Monday of September through December, and March through June. We meet at the United Church of Christ, 7240 Erie Street, Sylvania, OH. Meetings will be canceled when there is a level 2 or level 3 snow emergency. Decisions will be made by NOON of the meeting day. Please check your email and phone messages before leaving for a winter meeting.
